Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Maaser Tracker account and all the data associated with it at any time, and it cannot be undone. When you delete it yourself in the app (Option 1), removal is immediate; email requests (Option 2) are completed within 30 days. Backup copies are fully purged within 30 days either way.
Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
- Sign in to your account.
- Go to Account and open the Delete account section.
- Confirm with the one-time code we email you, type your name to confirm, and your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 — request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in (lost password and lost access to your email's second factor, for example), email support@bizzassist.com with the subject “Account deletion request”, from the email address your account is registered under. We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days, and confirm by reply once it's done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- your user record (email, display name, password hash);
- all transactions, imports, accounts, and recurring series;
- all sessions, passkeys, and one-time codes;
- your bank connections — we also revoke our access at Plaid, so the connection itself is severed, not just our copy;
- your Pro subscription, if you have one — it is canceled at Stripe immediately, so you will not be charged again.
Backup copies are rotated and fully purged within 30 days. Invoices and payment records that Stripe must retain for tax and anti-fraud compliance are kept by Stripe under its own retention rules. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Want to keep the account but remove bank data?
You don't have to delete everything. You can disconnect any linked bank from Auto-import (which revokes our Plaid access), delete individual transactions from History, or cancel your Pro subscription from Account → Manage subscription — all without closing your account.
